All Done

When given the chance, I can be lazy. Very very lazy. My motto is why do today what you can put off forever. And I will put things off forever if given the chance. Of course, the longer I put things off, the bigger and scarier they become in my mind, and the less likely I am to want to tackle them.

It's a problem. I know.

But the good thing about me is once I do get started, I don't do things half assed. So, I applied for 2 jobs on Friday, I bought a new computer which actually works as compared with the old one, I finished all my Christmas shopping (yes, for last year), I went out and practiced driving, I booked a driving lesson for tomorrow, I emailed a bunch of people I've been neglecting, I scrubbed the bathroom and did all the laundry in the house.

Of course, that was my entire to-do list and I did it in 3 days. Which means it's time for a new to-do list! Luckily, the new computer has a to-do list gadget right on the desktop. Anything to keep from sliding back into my procrastinating ways.

Hey, not sure if you like this sort of thing, but you might enjoy "Remember the Milk", which is a site that lets you maintain an extensive set of task related lists. It's really pretty cool, since you can access it anywhere because it's online, and it has options to let you set certain tasks as recurring. For instance, I never remember to change the furnace filter on schedule, but I have a scheduled reminder to tell me when to do it. I don't have to worry about it because it's set to renew every X weeks. Anyway, I won't be offended if you don't fall in love, but it makes me happy to share stuff with people. Hence the interruption. Have a good one!
