Howdy, I'm Karen

I'm a 29 year old graphic designer with a full time job that only sometimes drives her crazy. However, it's hard to fault them since they let me play in Photoshop all day. I'm best known at work for writing the catchy fliers that get hung up in the bathroom stalls. Yeah, I'm so known as the girl who makes the bathrooms signs. Whatever. As long a they pay me.

I just moved in with Jeff. I've never lived with a boy before. This one however I think is a keeper. He not only unloads the dishwasher, but he takes out the trash and occasionally cooks. It's a fantastic accomplishment that took absolutely no training on my part.

I am a Brother (yes, Brother) in Phi Sigma Pi, National Honor Fraternity. I'm a charter member from the Gamma Phi Chapter at the University of Oklahoma. I was inducted in 1998 and became a full fledged alumn in 2001. Since college wasn't enough entertainment for me, I also started a regional conference, the Western Interchapter Conference on Knowledge, Education and Development. WICKED as we call it is still going strong today which is quite impressive if I do say so myself. I love traveling to PSP events and I love my Brothers.

God, that all reads like a resume. Do you even care that much?

This website is just a journal of my life. I started it as a way for my friends and family to keep up with all the craziness and adventures that I have. (And save me from telling the same stories over and over again.) I write very frankly about the events in my life which often cause people to freak out and threaten to sue me. You'd be surprised how often that happens. But I'm a very blunt person and I'm not afraid to tell people exactly what I think.

I call it Karen's Place because it's my place. A place where I can rave about the good, the bad and the ugly of life. A place where I can recap all the crazy adventures I have and share all the pictures I take. It is also a place where I don't have to worry about people getting all annoyed with what I have to say. So, remember that. I don't really care how pissed off you get at what I say. I'm still going to say it, and probably mock you for being upset along the way. That will be fun.
