So I've Been Slacking Off Lately

I know, I'm horrible. I just can't seem to motivate myself to blog. And nothing interesting is happening anyway. We're going to go to my grandma's house for the 4th. I'm really looking forward to my first semi-road trip in the new van. I took her in a few days ago to get my stereo put in. Let me just say that I LOVE my salesman. He was so kind and attentive and not pushy at all when we were looking. When I went to pick up the van from having the stereo put in, he had refilled my gas tank! If you need a new Ford and live in Oklahoma City, go to Joe Cooper Ford in Midwest City.

Okay, on to the good stuff. We didn't take as many pictures as we should have while The Mister was here, but we did get a few. You can start here and go back. Enjoy!

It's Over

We had a wonderful time with The Mister here. Lou said, "We're getting my daddy from the Marines!" as soon as we walked in to the airport. We pretty much just hung out at home and visited my mom and his dad and sisters. On Friday night the girls stayed with my mom and The Mister and I went out on a "date". When we took The Mister back to the airport today, Lou got pretty upset. She kept saying her daddy needed to come home with her, not go back to the Marines. It was pretty tough. She cried all the way out of the airport and for about five minutes in the van until she fell asleep. It wasn't as hard for me this time, though because I know that it's only for a little over 5 more months. And now, I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of our family. Click here and here to see her.

Too Excited To Think Of A Title

Less than 24 hours to go!

I went and bought The Mister ANOTHER Father's Day gift yesterday. I'm so excited he'll be here with us for it. I just can't stop myself. I also got something for my father-in-law. Got cards and all that jazz, too. I'm proud of myself. And I still need to clean house. I think I'm the worlds best procrastinator. But at least my laundry is done. That is a miracle in itself. Okay, I'm off to clean because it HAS to be done today and I've already wasted an hour on the computer just browsing.

Cleaning Like Madmen

So, we'll be cleaning like crazy because The Mister gets home in less than 48 hours. I'm trying to keep myself busy so the time will go by faster. It's not working. The girls have no clue what's going on. I told Lou her daddy was coming home, but I don't think she got it. She's going to be so surprised at the airport. Speaking of airport, we got a dang good deal on the ticket for it being such short notice. Only $346 bucks. The Mister's plane lands at 8:41am on Saturday. I only hope I can keep myself in bed past 3am.

Sad

We lost The Mister's grandfather this morning around 4am CST. The Mister's mom is on her way to Idaho right now and The Mister will be there tomorrow. The Mister wil be home sometime at the end of this week. I finally told Lou her daddy was coming home. I wanted to make sure things were definite before I told her. I would've hated to tell her he wasn't coming after all.

Wee

Time for some major updates. We've been so busy the past few weeks and I haven't had much time to share what's been going on. Last Friday I took Lou to see Finding Nemo. She loved it and so did I. Then on Monday we headed back to my grandparents' for the Sand Bass Festival. We had a blast. You can see some pictures of Lou riding the rides here:

We finally came home yesterday afternoon, but not before the girls got to play in the rain for a while.

And last, but certainly not least, Little Miss got her first haircut last night. Of course Lou had to have one, too.

Now, back to my frantic cleaning because The Mister will be here in a mere 10 days!

Rollercoasters Are Fun, But This Is Ridiculous

The past few days have been packed with lots of news. The Mister called Monday morning to tell me that he wasn't going to be able to take leave in July like we thought. In fact he probably wouldn't get to take any at all until after his one year tour was over, so of course we were all extremely disappointed. Not long after that, I got a phone call informing me that I had won a trip to Cancun for two. I've got a year to use it, so The Mister and I would be able to use it once he got back. I was pretty excited about that. Then The Mister called in the middle of the night on Monday night. His grandfather wasn't doing well and we all needed to get to Idaho ASAP. We were going to get to see him after all. (Although not under the best of circumstances.) Then he called again Tuesday evening. His grandfather is doing better and we couldn't come up with enough money for us to get to Idaho anyway, so it looks like we won't get to see him after all. Enough roller coaster for ya? Well, too bad because there's more. He called again this morning. He's going to go ahead and go to Idaho for a few days, then he's going to fly home for a week. We get to see him in 11 days or so. That's right, only 11 days. We're so excited. Now if things change, I'll just... well, I don't know, but I've had enough back and forth to last me quite a while.

It's Been A While

I know it's been a while since I posted, but things have been hectic, and quite frankly, I haven't felt much like posting. I've had nothing important to say and just didn't quite feel like sharing my blah mood of the past weeks. I certainly hate to bring others down. So, what's been going on lately, you ask...

We had a fabulous week at my grandparents' house for the Memorial Day holiday. As a matter of fact, we're going back tomorrow because the Sand Bass Festival is starting on the 2nd. It's been a long time since I've been around to go, and I want the girls to experience it while we're here. They've got turtle racing and rides and games. Should be a good time for all.

I'm going to be losing my computer for a couple of weeks soon because I've got to send it in to be serviced. Thank goodness I've still got a warranty on the stupid thing.

I've got some adorable pictures of the girls from this evening playing in the sprinkler at mom's house. I'll try to get those up later tonight or sometime after I get to grandma's. (Preferrably tonight because Grandma has dial up, and I don't really have the patience to wait on it!)

Now, just a little something for my mom, because I know she reads and she mentioned earlier today that I hadn't updated for a while. She said I could just post on there that I love her and at least it would be something so...

Hi Mom! I love you!

*Edited to say: I got the pictures up. Here they are.
