No Water?!?

The entire complex is without water right now. I went to get in the shower, turned the faucet, and.... noting! Now I have to run around stinky (not too bad, but still!) until they get it fixed. Which, by the way, could be until tomorrow. I had better get some sort of discount on my rent this month.

*Edited to add: I had a sandwich for lunch with onions on it before I found out I didn't have water. Now I can't even brush my teeth unless I rinse with soda! Of course that's probably better than my funky onion breath.

Eeeewwww

Lou just wiped a huge, green, juicy boogie on the wall on her way to bed. Those of you that know me well, know that I cannot stand nose picking. Cleaning that boogie up was worse than cleaning vomit for me.

Our Less Than Fun Easter

We went to church this morning and left before the service even started. Lou was behaving badly. We had plans to go to the park after church and have a picnic lunch there and let the kids play. Needless to say that didn't happen. Keep in mind through all of this Little Miss is feeling punky. So instead of a fun filled day, we came home and Lou and Little Miss took naps. I was so disappointed that Little Miss's first Easter was such a flop.

After the girls got up from their nap, we decided to go to Wal-Mart with my mom. We went to one over in Oklahoma City. Jeff Gordon's racecar was there and I was so disappointed that I didn't have my camera, but we checked it out anyway. Lou was excited about it. She said, "Look momma, it's the rainbow car!" We affectionately call Gordon the Rainbow Warrior. After that, we went back to mom's, watched a couple of movies, and came home. All in all just a regular day. Holidays just aren't the same without The Mister around.

Leather Pants And Boots

Leather is the traditional gift for a third anniversary. Today is year three for us. That's right, folks, we were married on tax day. Of course in 2000 it wasn't tax day, but I digress.

Happy Anniversary, The Mister. I hope our next three years are as wonderful as the first three have been!

More Conversations With 2 Year Olds

Lou: Mommy, I'm a horse.
Me: What sound does a horse make?
Lou: I'm a horse.
Me: What sound does it make?
Lou: Horsey, horsey.
Me: What sound does a cow make?
Lou: I'm a horsey. Momma's a cow.
The Mister: (on the phone) Don't lay down. (lots of snickering) It rains when cows lay down.

The Ramblings Of A 2 Year Old

A short conversation I must share with you. My Grandma had made ribs and mashed potatoes etc. for dinner one night while Lou was staying with them. After grandma left the table Lou turned to my Grandpa and said, "I don't like Grandma's cooking". Lou's coming home today. And just for the record, my grandmother is an excellent cook!

The Windy City Rocks My Socks

Cassandra and I went to see Chicago last night. Best movie evah! I just loved it. There were only 4 people in the whole theater and Cassandra and I were getting down with the music. I don't think I've enjoyed a movie that much in a long, long time.

I'm going to go get Lou tomorrow. I can't stand to be away from her any longer. I'd go today if I could! My mom called her the night before last and said Lou just cried and said she wanted to go in the blue car. (Our car is blue). Little Miss is missing her big sister, too. She goes in their room and looks around and then just sits on the floor looking lost. It's so sad. It's definately time.

A Little Good

Number of boxes packed: 22
Number of injuries sustained while packing: 4
Cost to ship the boxes: A lot
Making a soldier's day: Priceless

My mother-in-law had a luncheon yesterday for moms of Marines here in Oklahoma. Most of the guys are in Iraq. We made care packages for them. It's unbelievable the amount of support this community is giving to it's soldiers. Several Wal-Marts made donations for these care packages. So that's what I was doing yesterday and most of this morning. It was well worth my time and energy, and even the 4 injuries I got (mostly due to scissors).

Off to finish watching the race!

Eh...

I don't know what I'm going to do this weekend. Lou went down to her Grandma Stelle's house for several days. It's going to be strange to only have one kiddo to take care of. But I'll definately get in some good reading time!

Wonderful News

My baby is walking! She can only take about three steps at a time, but she's on her way! I'm so excited. I'm off to get the camcorder out so The Mister can see!
